Darren is from Adelaide in South Australia and has been establishing himself in the UK since relocating in May 2006. Born in Manchester, he began playing drums at the age of 10 and at 13 emigrated to Australia with his family. His ability to learn quickly and play for the song has led to many studio and live projects throughout Australia and more recently the UK.In Australia, Darren has played with a number of different artists including BB Steal, James Gary, John Schuman, Ethyls Wreck, Waiting for Venus, Kickstart and Secret Mens Business and has also worked with some of Australia's most talented producer/engineers including Peter Blyton (Divinyls/Choirboys/Keith Urban), Andy Wallace (Ben Folds), Brett Taylor (Special Patrol/James Gary) and Tony Nesci (The Mark of Cain).Since relocating back to the UK Darren has toured and recorded with Gwyn Ashton, My Scarlet Darling and most recently The Wow Signal who have just completed an album, ‘Infinity’s Lobby’, with producer Marc Waterman. Darren’s newest project is with singer Penny Foster, her debut album is in the final stages of production with a release is planned for later this year. Darren is also available for professional recording sessions and touring.
