We are a group formed of animators, editors, graphic designers and 3D artists and producers who graduated from university in summer 2006. We formed later that summer and worked continuously throughout the year. During this time we created short films, logos, idents, characters and 3D environments. Our style consists mainly of a wacky, comical, simplistic nature which we picked up over the years from watching kid’s television and reading kid’s books.We wanted to create something entertaining for the kid’s but still appealing to the older kid’s as well (adult sense of humour). We mainly use primary colours in our work as they are the same colours that will be associated with kid’s toys and books. The primary colours are mainly used because they are first on the colour wheel and secondly they are bold and bright. They are also hard to forget and stand out a lot more when put up against secondary colours. Pocoyo is a good example of kid’s television, but many older children watch it because of its style and content. A style we really admire here at BiGKiD entertainment and aspire to create.Take a look around the site and we hope you enjoy.
