About Me

I'm me. A bit crazy. Hell, who am I trying to kid. A lot crazy! Sometimes "elevator doesn't go to the top floor" crazy! I guess you can call me middle-aged, which drives me insane because I don't feel it, or look it. Sure don't act it. But what is age but a number? I was born and raised in San Francisco and now live just south of there, about 1/4 mile from the beach. I love it. I can go there every day and it is never the same. I enjoy making jewelry (see pics) and little treasures from my beach combings. I'm of Greek descent and attend a festival once or twice a year to dance in circles and chow down on Greek delicacies, especially the loukamades! I have a wonderful man in my life, a great son who's turning into a greater man, and a dog who needs a lot of work but keeps me active. . . . . . . .San Francisco has many hidden delights!       >

2/4/08 ~ an email to a friend

How are you doing? I'm "hanging in there" as my Dad would say. What a tiring day. I came home around 3:00 and took the pup for a walk. I talked to my Mom around 5:30 and they were still in the ER wait...

P-O-P-C-O-R-N

Pet Snake

My son purchased a baby hognose snake back in January. It was little, cute (for a snake) and quite active. Well, this little bugger got out of his tank quite a while ago. Way over a month. Probably 2 ...

Just one of those days

I'm having one of those days where nothing is going right. I mean, nothing is really bad. Just little annoyances of life that are picking at me one at a time.   All night  I heard the r...

Dancing for $$$

On Saturday night, I danced at a friend's father's 85th birthday party. I did it more as a favor, fun and experience than money. Ann is my friend from belly dance class. We've been putting together a ...

Gloomy

It keeps raining and raining. All day today. Rain. Cold. Gloomy. I have to go out in it; into the city; look for parking; deal with traffic; to visit an elderly friend in the hospital. Her son is stuc...

The brain

You know what totally amazes me? The  brain! I've been listening all night to oldies on  the local radio station. The fact that songs from years ago (and I mean years!) come on and I can sin...
