Nati nell'ormai lontano 1995, gli Sneakers hanno saputo trasformarsi e andare oltre lo stereotipo di semplice "tribute band", diventando un nome conosciuto sulla scena musicale new wave torinese e non solo. I motivi di questa longevità artistica vanno ricercati sicuramente nella forte coesione e nell'impatto live che la band riesce a sprigionare ad ogni concerto. Dopo aver proposto con grande successo lo spettacolo che emulava il Touring The Angel, gli Sneakers si presentano sul palco con le scenografie del Devotional Tour del 1993 . Lo scontro tra sonorità elettroniche fatte di campionatori, synth e sequencer, e le sonorità decisamente "live" vengono riproposte nelle due ore di spettacolo dagli Sneakers, , che spaziano attraverso i 3 momenti fondamentali dei DM, dagli ingenui eppure fondamentali esordi degli '80 con Vince Clark, (Just can't get enough), ai lunghi anni con Alan Wilder, dove sono state scritte le pagine fondamentali della storia della band (e qui l'elenco sarebbe infinito: basti citare brani come Black Celebration, Never let me down again, Personal Jesus, Enjoy the silence, Walking in my shoes, World in my eyes, Halo) senza dimenticare gli ultimi lavori seguiti all'abbandono di Alan Wilder (Home, It's no good, Freelove). Nell’ottobre del 2004 lo show live è stato sottoposto alla critica degli stessi DM i quali sono rimasti contenti del lavoro svolto, definendo gli (Sneakers una delle migliori tribute band.ENGLISH
Born in the already past 1995, the Sneakers have known how to change and go beyond the stereotype of simple “tribute bandâ€, becoming a well-known name on the new wave Turin’s musical scene and not only. The reasons of this artistical longevity should be certainly found within the strong harmony and in the live impact that the band is able to perform during each concert. The show appears with a stage designing which emulates the Devotional Tour(1993). The clash between electronic sounds made of samplers, synth and sequencer, and the truly live sonority is reproposed during the two hours Sneakers show that ranges over 3 fundamental stages of DM, from naïve but at the same time so important beginning in the 80ies together with Vince Clark (Just can't get enough), to the long years with Alan Wilder when the most important pages of the history of the band have been written (and here the list is endless: just quote songs such as Black Celebration, Never let me down again, Personal Jesus, Enjoy the silence, Walking in my shoes, World in my eyes, Halo) without forget the last discography after Alan Wilder left the band (Home, It's no good, Freelove). In October 2004 the live show has been submitted to the opinion of DM who have expressed satisfaction for the work done, defining the Sneakers one of the best tribute band.
