2003:
INCENSED was formed by Johan Gren and Christian Larsson. What started as something fun to do in the evenings would soon become more serious than they had ever thought. Jari Kuusistu, rehearsing with his other band, Carnal Forge, at the same location, asked if there was any need for a guitarist in the band. The guys were definitely interested in having Jari in their band since both of them were fans of Carnal Forge and new that he was a good guitarist.
2003:
INCENSED finally decided to record a 4-track demo but some minor things were still missing. They had no lead guitarist and no vocalist. Petri Kuusisto, a good friend of both Gren and Larsson and also Jari's younger brother, had shown interest in the band and when INCENSED asked if he would like to play some lead parts on the demo or even join the band as the new lead guitarist he gladly joined the line-up. 4recorded songs later and only one problem left to solve: where would they find a vocalist that could match what the rest of the guys wanted? After trying with seval vocalists Tommie Wahlberg was contacted. Knowing that he had done some singing before and that he had a great voice Tommie was handed the mic and a few seconds into the first song he stated that he would gladly join the band.
2004:
The demo turned out so great that everyone in INCENSED wanted to make the band a serious project and dedicate a lot of time to it. After spreading the demo amongst friends and having received very positive reactions the band decided to start making songs for a full-length album, and hopefully get a record deal once done.
2005:
10 Songs were recorded and mixed and INCENSED were ready to conquer the world when Christian Larsson stated that he neither had the interest nor the time to make INCENSED a full-time job and decided to leave the band. Dennis Vestman (former bass player in Carnal Forge) had heard that Christian would leave the band and immediately called Petri and said that he had heard the demo. He asked if the spot of bass playerwas still vacant and if he could become a member of the band. A couple of months lter Dennis had learned all the songs and INCENSED decided to make him a full-time member of the band.
2006:
So now, with high expectations, INCENSED will show the world that their debut album "Prelude to Extinction" is pure top-notch Swedish metal at it's best.
