Truly a "California Band," Dr. Masseuse came into a world of love on Valentine’s Day, 2002. Their first show, in Cloyne Court Co-op’s infamous dungeon, was a scorching affair. Cupid shot arrows throughout a packed dance floor and we all knew there was something special on the horizon.
Casting catchy hooks over hip-shaking organic grooves, jamming a sweet melody sopping with Funk, succumbing to the energy of the performance and rocking out intense solos (whichever instrument, or some kid in the crowd who can flow), DrM thrives on the audience’s feedback loop. Frontman/Songwriter Robin Applewood feeds his soul on a silver platter at every show and chicks dig him. The Dr. always comes equipped with a spicy horn section.
If you like rock, funk, reggae or dub, hippie-hop jams, or just plain dancing your ass off, you’ll find a friend in Dr Masseuse. Between recording 2 Cds and refining their unique sound, Dr. Masseuse has captivated a variety of audiences.
