About Me

************************************************************ ************* I was born in El Josh, Libya in august 1981, shortly we moved to my parents home country of Syria. After meeting the family and spending the rest of the winter, we made our way to our new home in the country of Nigeria, were I would spend some of the most memorable parts of my childhood I made friends there I still see now, two girls from Egypt they are like sisters to me. Even at a young age I could tell there was something not right about life, how come we had every toy a child could imagine, yet the Africans next door had none. How come we had our food made for us whilst we watch David Attenborough on TV, yet the Africans next door simply had no food, TV and wouldn't have the slightest clue who David Attenborough is. The point I am trying make is how divisions occur in our society, how can we live like kings and ignore the pain of others around us? I couldn't, I feel that kind of up bringing and grasp on reality has helped shape who I am, and has also been reflected in my rhymes. After spending years in Nigeria, my mum my brother and I traveled again. A quick stop to London, then Singapore, Melbourne and Finally Sydney. were we lived for 12 months, and i began my love for Australian Rugby League (Known to me then as N.S.W.R.L) I played my first season of rugby league in 1988. We then returned to Nigeria for another 18 months. During this time we had a choice to make Canada or Australia, having already come acustom to Australian ways the choice was easy. A visit to Rome, Italy for a few weeks then to our new home. After moving from suburb to suburb and there for school to school and a life of travel it is not the easiest to make and keep friends. It is here were i felt at home and it is here in Australia were I met My love Lex (Features on "hold on") (who shares the same passion and emotion as i do. maybe with a bit better vocabulary, dont you think?...) ***

Sounds Like: All your armies, All your fighters, All your tanks and all your soldiers. Against a boy holding a stone, Standing there all alone. In his eyes I see the sun, In his smile I see the moon. And I wonder I only wonder. Who is weak and who is strong, who is right and who is wrong. And I wish I only wish. That the truth has a tongue. (Qasem Qasem, 2000)
