About Me

How does a glamorous opera-singing beauty queen follow up competing at the Miss America Pageant? She falls in love with a football-loving cavatelli-eating operatic tenor and becomes part of the most exciting new presence in the world of contemporary classical crossover music.Amanda Beagle and Craig Raymaley met in college where they were both vocal performance majors at The Dana School of Music. A few years went by, they fell in love, created Bel Duetto and finally got married (as everyone tells Craig "it’s about time").With songs that range from the power of grand opera, the sophistication of the Gershwins, the swing of Louis Prima and the cool of Frank, Dino and Sammy, there is something for everyone in Bel Duetto’s glamorous concert of thrilling and beautiful music. Exceptional instrumentalists and enchanting ballroom dancers add to the excitement and make Bel Duetto a dazzling event to remember. Their concerts are being hailed by fans and critics who have said, "Amanda and Craig are entertainment at its finest.” Fans have added, “Their performance is universally appealing and their artistic ability is unsurpassed.”Amanda represented the state of Ohio at the 2005 Miss America Pageant, where she was a talent-award winner. But Amanda is far more than just a beauty queen, she has performed leading soprano roles in many musical comedies and operas including: La boheme, The Gondoliers, Bye Bye Birdie, and The King and I. A winner of both the Marvin Hamlisch Award and the Giorgio Tozzi Scholarship, she has furthered her operatic training in Italy as part of Opera Teatro di Lucca, at the birthplace of legendary operatic composer, Giacomo Puccini. In his burgeoning singing career, Craig's engaging on-stage portrayals have garnered him praise by critics from newspapers such as The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette which have heralded him as “a burnished force” and “the biggest treat of the evening.” While a member of the Performer Residency Program at Carnegie Mellon University, Craig made his professional debut with Opera Theater of Pittsburgh. He has gone on to sing more than fifty leading tenor roles in opera and musical theater productions, and is a frequent recitalist and concert artist. Craig has studied opera in Italy with Opera Teatro di Lucca, and has recorded internationally for the Naxos label.Bel Duetto is available for fine arts series, corporate events, festivals, cruise ships, parties, symphonies, cabarets and any concert or celebration.
