..NEFARIOUS BIOGRAPHY It all began on Sudbury Ct. in Rochester Hills, MI 18 years ago. I (D-FecT) met Crisco when I was two years old, and we’ve been makin it happen from there on out. I started playin guitar at seven and was originally in a band called Downside with Tim Beaman, now a part of the infamous OCT crew, and my boy Kevin Dowd. But things took a turn when Crisco came over with his Korg Bass Machine one day. We started fuckin around with beats and began to write lyrics, never to think that we’d still be doin this 7 years later. People started to notice what we were doin – some liked it, some hated it – but we kept makin music and eventually joined up with the Pletkovic brothers, Credit and Fuse. Together the four of us dropped our first album, the Nefarious self-titled CD, with the help of my Paps “Dirty Dizzle.” Things kept getting better, our fan base was steadily growing, people still talked a lot of shit, and more shows were played. Through the rest of High School, we dropped two more albums, “High Releaf” and “Grass Stains.” The name “Nefårious” actually started with Danny Hollenkamp (The CEO) and Crisco a ways back. If I can recall, the two DJ partners called themselves the Nefarious brothers, but you might wanna check with Crisco on that. When Crisco and me started doin shit, we figured that we might as well keep the name since people already knew of Nefarious. We’ve had quite a few discussions about changing the name, but nothing ever happens. Will we change our name someday? I don’t know – it’s possible. As far as why we decided to all work together…I don’t think any of us really thought much about it at the time we started. We were all just really good friends who realized how much fun it was to make music and rap. It has almost been 7 years now and none of us have ever had intentions of stopping. However, there have been a couple of road blocks – but that just comes with getting older in my opinion. I guess it all started with me moving away to Mammoth, California when I was 17. Besides music, I had another passion – Snowboarding. This made things a little more difficult, with me being on the other side of the country and concentrating on snowboarding more. Don’t regret it AT ALL – It was a great experience and I met a lot of good people. Anyway, back to the point, a year later I was in Boulder, Colorado for school, Fuse was at Michigan State, Crisco at Ferris/The Roach, and CP was in Chicago workin. Four different places, four different people – collaborating wasn’t the easiest thing to do. But we made it work, sent sessions across the country and played shows whenever we were together. Hip-hop definitely has a large influence on our music, but probably country and folk music impact the way our creations sound the most. Maybe Enya too though.... Shit no! I’m a rocker through and through.A lot of our progression throughout the years has to do with experience. It has been 7 years now, working with the same four kids, so we know how to work well with each other and be productive. It wasn’t always like that – and it can still be tough at times. After putting out three CD’s, and other work on the side, we’ve also learned a lot about what sounds good, what doesn’t, and what people really want to hear. Criticism is something that has definitely helped us improve, especially feedback from the fans and the haters. Another huge aspect of our progression is working with new people, combining talents, and expanding the Full Out Family. (The Infynite Camp, Gridlock, Hollywood, Joe Kane, Mcel, O.C.T,and many others.) We all have the same drive and dream to make music for a living.Plans for the future…keep doin what we’re doin. Keep lookin for more talent to combine with. Keep playin more shows. Always lookin for a way to improve our sound and quality of music. Eventually we’d all like to live in the same fucking town for once – that would help significantly. Myspace Backgrounds
