The Bumble Bees

About Me

You proberly all know their song "Girl of my Kind", one of the Dutch masterpieces of the era.
The B-side to this song is just as amazing to me.
From start to finish "Maybe Someday" grabs you by the throat and you won't start breathing again until the last chord.
The Bumble Bees were from the Dutch beat capital Den Haag, and it shows!
My spine shivers every time I hear the beautiful Hobo (or is it an Obu?, or a Clarinet?...how dumb can you be?)arrangement.
It was released on Phillips in 1967.
( Notes from 'Waterpipes & Dykes' - Dutch psychedelic underground )
In 1965 singer Mariska Veres joined the group. They went to Germany under the name " Mariska & The Bumble Bees ". Back in Den Haag Mariska & The Bumble Bees performed at famous club "Pam- Pam" in Scheveningen.
"MRS.AMSTERDAM"; -DOUBLE YOU (Track featuring BB's Leadguitar, teaming up with TheShoes Brothers,"7 ,1973.)
