Samarra is based in Boston and has been studying and performing Middle Eastern dance for several years. She has performed extensively at clubs, restaurants, local events, festivals and private parties. Samarra designs her own unique, professional-quality costumes and adds excitement to her performances by dancing with props such as peacock feather fans, Egyptian cape, cane, Wings of Isis, sword, veil and zils.Samarra also studies Broadway jazz dancing, and produces live events with a theatrical flair. Aside from performing traditional Egyptian-style or American Cabaret belly dance, Samarra has an art background and the resources to create a completely unique performance that will complement any themed event.As a member of the Madcap Rumpus Society, Samarra belly dances with Emperor Norton's Stationery Marching Band. ENSMB is a rousing, nostalgia-tinged, Americana-style brass band. The circus features a 12-member band and (besides me) stilt walkers, hoola-hoopers, a variety of trapeze artist-types, poi spinners, contortionists
