Myth ..... a band that understands and appreciates the past but also takes chances and embraces the future. A band that sees its music as its life. A band that lives what it plays.
Comprised of five Latino men, Myth seeks to unite people from all walks and cultures through their unique style and sound – an innovative yet accessible mix that combines elements of reggae, jazz and funk into a package that can please the masses while inspiring the individual.
Like Sly Stone, Bob Marley or Carlos Santana, Myth adds a deeply spiritual element to its music. As George Clinton once said, the band challenges you to free your mind. The band’s name is no accident. Webster’s defines “myth†as a “belief that has grown up around something.†For Myth, the belief is that music is a universal language, one felt within our souls and immune to the materialistic world we often find ourselves trapped in.
“We live in a mythical world and we’re just trying to open people’s eyes to reality,†says one member.
Myth wants to bring listeners into that reality by giving them a chance to experience music made for the right reasons: music that has the potential to lift spirits and liven souls; music that enlightens as it entertains; music that sounds great today and will remain relevant tomorrow.
