Hey there people.
For those of you not in the know, my name's Jack
I was born in Sydney, Australia and now reside in Tauranga, New Zealand.
When I first arrived in Tauranga, I hated it, I wished I was back in Australia every moment, but as I've lived here for longer, it has become my home, and I love it, I feel a kinship here like nothing I ever had in Australia. I miss my friends deeply, but New Zealand is my home and I love it here.
At this current point in time I am studying Electrical Engineering, with a pathway in Electronics. I'll be the man fixing your broken circuitry in the near future. I'm studying at Windermere Polytech, Tauranga.
If you would like to look at some of my Photography, there is a folder full of shots I have taken in one of my Photo albums here on myspace. Be forgiving, because I just shoot what I like, I don't try to find awesome photo's. Leave a comment though.
I have been involved in the bands Corporate Nightmare, and War Of Indra, which are both now defunct.
I'm also helping with guitar in the band "The Whisper Garden" If you would like to check us out, let me know.
I'm also always looking for music projects to work on with people. I'm proficient, but not great, at guitar.Most of the time throughout the day you can find me listening to my favourite tunes, most of which I've managed to get onto my top friends list, so that I (and you, humble reader :P) can check them out when I want.
If you know of any bands related to, or that sound similar to the bands on my list, then let me know, I'm always looking for new bands.
I also enjoy watching movies.
My favourite movies of all time include: Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, Natural Born Killers, The Dark Knight and A Scanner Darkly.
I am currently seeing someone, and we have been together for a year and 7 months. Her name is Angela, and in my (totally unbiased) opinion, she is one of, if not, the single greatest thing that has happened to me. I have grown as a human being since meeting her, and I believe she's helped me find my path, even if the path still isn't lit..
I work at a petrol station (not pumping gas though) It's a fairly ordinary job, but the people I work with, and (most) of those I meet are great, so I don't mind working there too much, it gets a bit tedious at times though. I am, however looking at new jobs, just because I would like a higher wage than what I am currently on. If you have an offer for me, please contact me, because I'm more than happy to listen.
Work, School, and seeing Angela take up most of my time. However in my spare time, I read, listen to music, work on my songs and photography, and generally try to learn new things, by examining the world I live in. I don't claim to be the brightest person in the world, however I do have a brain, and I am capable of cognitive, insightfull thoughts.
I am interested in the spiritual side of life. I believe in A god, though not the Christian god. No matter how many parallels you may be able to draw between them. Please do not get these two confused if I mention "my god" to you, I do not mean the christian god, and I do not particularly enjoy most Christian's company. This isn't because I just despise Christian's like some people though, Most are fairly honest, I just find most of them too wrapped up in Christian dogma to enjoy the parts of life that I want to enjoy, and most will tell me I'm going straight to hell for those parts. Besides, lets not forget all the fun things Christians have done over the years such as the murder and persecution of great philosophers and scientists because of their religion, as well as repression of other religions, only with the selfish view of self aggrandisement, and power. That's not on.
I believe you recieve what you put into anything. If you think negatively, then you will recieve negative things in your life. Think positively and be thankfull for anything you get, you will be surprised how your fortunes turn.
I believe everything happens for a reason. When you actually stop and think about what happens in your life you can find alot of interesting "coincidences" that come from seemingly inconsequential things, even negative ones. I had a major accident just this year (2009) in March, and I think this is one of those cases.
Another passion of mine is food. I love food. If you are a good cook, then you are already halfway to my heart. My favourite dish is Apricot Chicken. Some of the others are: Butter Chicken, lasagne, Pasta, and my own homemade recipe for chicken with cheese and garlic. Also, I reccomend a little Czech dish called Svicova, Angela introduced me to it, and its fucking awesome served with a herb pull-apart loaf of bread.
I also enjoy the occasional drink. I can't at the moment due to my accident, but my favourite alcoholic beverage's are a good Red Wine, Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Grants Scotch and McKenna Bourbon.
You can thank my friend Hannah for suggesting to me to put some writting on my page. It was a while ago, but I finally got around to it.
