Massa Confusa

About Me

Massa Confusa are a collective of artists and performers working to create pieces of work which cross the boundaries of art forms. Our debut piece Synchronicity is an experiential installation/performance based on Carl Jung’s theories on the personal and collective unconscious. It premiered at the Institute of Contemporary Art in June 2006 and is now being developed and extended.SOUNDSCAPE AND VIDEO COMING SOON

Our Mission is:
To create performative art of the highest quality, through the rigorous exploration of the corporeal, the emotional and the intellectual. To produce work which experiments with the boundaries of form and the interactivity between the artist and their audience.

Our Artistic Vision is:
To embrace artists from different disciplines, allowing them to work collaboratively and to explore the performativity of their art form. To strive to produce works which are rich in different narrative threads allowing the audience to create their own experience and to create pieces which positively encourage the spectator to actively engage with the work, to take ownership of their interpretation. To pursue experimental forms of art and performance, moving away from traditional structures and styles, challenging perceptions of what theatre and art can be. To encourage artists and performers to extend themselves, challenging their own perceptions and boundaries through extensive preparatory work and research.
