Hi everyone, My name is Jimmy Red, I'm a Recovering Addict, Alcoholic Now 22 Years Clean and Sober. In 1989 I created this program, America's Jam for the Homeless, I've been working on it ever since to Bring IT to Life. Am Jam is a program Dedicated To and Concerned with the issues of Homelessness, Substance Abuse and Disaster Situation. IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!! We ARE Convinced America Needs a More Substantial Immediate Response Recovery Program and the Time Is NOW, to address these issues and Produce Solutions to the problems. The program I've created HAS the Capability of Doing So. Our Main Objective is Creating a Program of Immediate Response Recovery Facilities that WILL Produce the Solutions in Helping Those In Need to Rebuild Their Lives. This will be a system of transitional housing facilities containing recovery programs that WILL Persist in helping people to move out of a Life of Poverty. IN America, There's NO Logical Reason Why ANYONE, ANY HUMAN BEING, ANY CITIZEN of America should have to Live In Need, On The Street, Hungry in Poverty or In Poverty after Disaster. EVERYONE in this country, Man, Woman, or CHILD, Deserves the Opportunity to Live a Life Above the Level of Poverty and to Live with Essential Needs and things that Those Who Do Have Take for Granted. It is a God's Given Right for "ALL PEOPLE" to Have a Home, Food, Education, Restructure and the Opportunity to Survive, and Above ALL, the Venture to Enjoy Happiness. This country began with the analogy of helping Those In Need who face and befall Unfortunate Circumstances. It is a shame to see that this premise has Severely Changed in America. The program I've created is Truely about Rebuilding Lives in Time Of Need and After Disaster. Homelessness is not only about being Without a Home, but About Having Someplace To Go in Time Of Need. IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE And WE NEED to Put Focus Back on the People in America, so that WE CAN Show the World that WE CAN AND DO, Take Care of OUR Own here in America. Working together is how WE produce the Solutions, thats what Our Name is about America's Jam for the Homeless. REALITY
MANY PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND HOMELESSNESS "IS" ABUSE, YES, SOCIAL ABUSE, THAT IS BROUGHT ON BY LACK OF ADEQUATE SERVICES PROVIDED TO HELP THOSE IN NEED. THIS IS WITH NO DISRESPECT TO PRESENT SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS OR SERVICES PROVIDED. OUR GOVERNMENT DOESN'T ACKNOWLEDGE FULLY THE EXTENT OF THE INCREASING HOMELESS POPULATION, THIS IN PART IS DUE TO CONTINUING DISASTER SITUATION. THE INDIVIDUALS IN QUESTION ARE BLAMED FOR THEIR LACK OF EFFORT FOR SEEKING HELP OR IMPROVEMENT IN THEIR LIFE. THIS IS NOT NECCESSARILY THE PROBLEM. WHEN A VICTIM OF HOMELESSNESS REALIZES THE LACK OF ADEQUATE SERVICES AND THE CONTINUIOUS SUBMISSION OF "NO's" CAN'T HELP YOU's, YOU DON'T HAVE, OR YOU NEED, JUST TO GET THE HELP THEY NEED, THEIR HOPE IS TAKEN AWAY, LEAVING THEM DESOLATE WITH NO ENTHUSISAM TO CONTINUE SEEKING WHAT ISN'T AVAILABLE. THUS LEAVING THEM TO EVOLVE THRU WHAT THEY KNOW, THE SOCIETY OF THE STREET AND THE DAILY ROUTINE OF WHAT CAN BE ACQUIRED THRU THE SELF DETERMINATION OF SURVIVAL. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SUFFICIENT SERVICES TO HANDLE THE EXTENT OF THOSE IN NEED. THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT LINE IS THE EXTENT OF STIPULATIONS, CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS BROUGHT ON BY BUREAUCRATIC BS: CONTROLLED BY GRANTS AND BUDGETS. LEAVING SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS TO ONLY PROVIDE ENOUGH SERVICES BOUND WITHIN THEIR ENTITLEMENTS. THE FIRST IMPORTANT QUESTION ALWAYS IS IF AN INDIVIDUAL HAS THE DESIRE TO SEEK IMPROVEMENT, THIS CAN BE ACOMPLISHED. AND THIS IS WHAT WE'RE REACHING FOR, TO HELP THOSE IN NEED WITH THE DESIRE. THIS CAN BE ACOMPLISHED BY PROVIDING A PROGRAM WITH LITTLE STIPULATION OR CONDITION, THRU THE LOVE AND CONCERN FOR THE LIFE OF ANOTHER HUMAN BEING. YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT WILL ULTIMATELY HELP US TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL BY SPREADING THE MESSAGE OF "TIME FOR A CHANGE IN HOW "WE" PRODUCE HELP FOR THOSE IN NEED"
