Singer NiÉla is the daughter of a nurse assistant and a father who was a career truck driver. She grew up in the mountains of Apple Valley, California between ages 9-11. She gained an appreciation for the southern California love of rock n roll and dance. At the same time her mom frequently inspired her with sounds of old school pop culture and disco while home. Growing up between California and her grandfathers’ one bed room apartment with five children to share in Washington D.C, the Memphis city based songtress credits her adjustments to different coasts for her varied musical taste.
Influences: Constant moving provided NiÉla with the ability of adapting to each new city. Her family moved her around to California, Washington D.C, and Memphis Tennessee where she now makes a name for herself. Once settled it was time she followed her passion and journey into the world of Music. Throughout her youth, she had studied dance and performed in talent contests; later joined a Jazz ensemble Band. Although she saw this as a creative outlet, she knew she was preparing for what she one day dreamed of doing: entertaining.After graduating from Middle College High School in Memphis Tennessee, NiÉla held city-wide auditions to start her very own dance group, even teaching hip-hop classes at Hickory Hill Community Center. She progressed even further, enrolling in the Black Arts Alliance Academy for song and voice training; All the while glued to the studio microphone. "My only mission was/is to get better at my talents and/or pursuits."

She is currently working on extended listening play, working with house band SO FLI, and working at Internet promotions by building her fan base.
