RIDLAMAN

RidlaMan a.k.a. [Eric Slater] is a master word-smith. Currently, Ridla is working on a new album titled, "Twisted Bliss" with several musicians:THE INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED/GRAMMY NOMINATED RE-MIX PRODUCTION TEAM THE PASSENGERZ, as well as other producers: Von Doom, Cowboy Jaret Lee, K-Beats, Absolut and others. The profound lyrics are created by Ridla; he bleeds poetry and wants to change the face of today's grim rap game. Although, not your typical "rapper," Ridla is heavily influenced by the great M.C.'s of the past. As a teen, Ridla began writing poems with the hopes of being heard. So, after a well-known record producer read/heard his lyrics, he asked Rid if he ever thought of rapping. Hence, with his unique voice and acrobatic flow, the Ridlaman was born. Returning after a long hiatus, Ridla is finally ready to be heard again. Ridlaman had prior deals with Relativity Records, as well as Rowdy Arista; the Arista deal fell through over poor management. Regardless, Brooklyn knew of Ridla and he became an underground artist, gaining respect for his furious freestyles and lyrical skills. The other musicians playing on Ridla's material are all established artists and producers with the same incendiary passion for altruism. Ridlaman is currently teaching English at F.D.R. H.S. in Brooklyn, and is able to connect with the youth, by using his love of words and infectuous personality. While teaching, Ridla has been diligently working on his new album/project . There have been several labels interested in Ridlaman, but Ridla is taking his time before coming to any rash decisions. After being burnt in the past by two major labels, Rid wants to truly be sure that his music isn't compromised and that he can be himself; not a cartoon character bought to make someone else rich. With a Masters Degree in English and the heart of a Brooklyn Gladiator, Ridla is the real deal- A positive and progressive MC, that takes you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions with the power of his pen. The hybrid sound of Ridlaman is original and honest, and Slater's voice grabs you and never lets go. With various songs that tackle important social issues, uplift the melancholy, motivate the dormant, inspire the lost, and at their core, make you think and react, Ridlaman proves to be a powerful voice for any generation.
