About Me

My name is Julian. Some people call me jay or jonny, which is cool so far, but don't ask me why, ask them. Anyway. When I was 3 years old I heard my first rock'n'roll recording which was a cliff richard and the shadows tape recorded in 1978, I still have it today. When I was 9 years old, my parents took me to my first real live show, which was Johnny Cash(!) live at the Firefly festival in Niles/Michigan in 1996. Well, something stuck and everytime I heard Johnny Cash sing about his black suit and his guitar case, a chill ran down my spine and I new: I wanted to have a guitar case of my own some day. Well things turned out: today I play guitar, sing and do songwriting for a rock band called two arms to hold me. I'm studying psychology in a beautiful little town called Landau.

working with kids and young people, hanging out in the rehearsal room, acting to make people smile, making up stories of a blind princess, reading the newspaper every morning, conversations in english, hardcore bands from the 80ies, taking pictures of sunsets, collecting indie music, going to shows, vintage guitars, tube amps, danish beer, nil cigarettes, singing out loud when walking through the streets, writing musik that might touch people in a deep way, sitting outside a cafe drinking coffee in the sun, dancing to bad music, dancing to good music, experiencing the loving care of god in my life, walking through the woods on a summer evening.

I'd like to meet:

Meeting real life friends around here is pretty cool, so is meeting the guy you argued with in the bar the night before or the girl that stepped on your shoe at a concert last week.
