Jon-Devin: Born in Huntsville, Alabama 26 years ago... Started creating music at the age of fifteen yet he has possessed the spirit and soul of music all of his life... Began making music with a left-handed acoustic guitar...Hasn't picked a electric guitar yet... Decided to take the pursuit of music making on his own by using his inspirations and inner ear to guide him... Still doesn't know how to read sheet music...He says it's better to be "natural" and let your heart guide your next move... Started writing lyrics at the age of fifteen using life experiences, relations of love, and any given moment of inspiration to take control of song ideas... Influenced by every type of genre of music..For a while wanted to do the whole rap thing due to being surrounded by the way of life expressed in rap and hip-hop music this day in age yet has decided to put that up and focus on different aspects of creating music.. Moved to Asheville, North Carolina at the age of nineteen being influenced by the music scene the city had to offer such as bluegrass, folk music, and some incredible local musicians to perform with... Made his way to Berkeley/Oakland in 2001 to start working around the rap group "Steady Mobb'n" formerly of No-Limit Records with his close friend and fellow music maker Steve Knight...Time passed while things didn't seem to completely fit so he made his way back across the country to Charleston, South Carolina... Continued to make music while limited to resources due to a lack of funds by recording songs in the bathroom of his apartment..which he would use for later when the time was "right"... In 2004 he decided to give Cali another shot by shacking up in Berkeley and started up writing music with his friends that were determined to make somethin happen...everything in due time.... Fatefully contributed a verse to the song "Someday" by the music group Flipsyde which was used as a theme song for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy.. Came back to Huntsville in 2004 and recorded some songs at a local studio dedicated to a special someone who he was with...At the time he was still finding his self..his own voice...yet wanted to perform due to the passion he possessses...He says he won't release any of that material because of the fact it's sole purpose was vent and get used to making music in an actual studio enviroment... As of now, He has re-built his talent in another direction of producing... will start up in the beginning of 2007 recording and releasing new material...flipsyde - someday
