I'm an open book, which can be either a good or bad thing depending on who Im talking with. If you ask me a question, you will get an honest answer, even if its not what you want to hear. I try not to be rude, but I truly believe honesty is the best policy. Mostly for that reason, I try to surround myself with honest, intelligent, well adapted, and emotionally stable people.
My curiousity for life and its inner workings is unquenchable. I ponder going back to school for psychology or physics, but I dont feel the drive for it yet. In the meantime, I read alot.
I enjoy most athletic activities, but have been pretty lazy lately. I need to meet a group of people on a fun league team. I enjoy road trips, concerts, snowboarding, reading, foreign films, spinning(dj), writing, playing guitar, painting, working out, bars for pool and darts, wine tasting, art shows, museums, operas, symphonies, plays, and just about anything I havent covered that involves culture, sports, music, or drinking.
I am a spiritual man, but not religious. I believe religion has its place and some people still require it to keep them in line, but beyond that the underlying point of "religion" is to live your life as spiritually as possible. Jesus, the Buddha, and other great religious leaders were all trying to lead humanity on an evolution of mind. Enlightment, betterment, call it whatever you choose, that path is what unites us all and differentiates us from the rest of the life on this planet. Once you learn to look for the lessons in every situation, life becomes a path toward bettering yourself each day. I am a good person for the betterment of my soul, not for the fear of reprisal.
"Be not the slave of your own past. Plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, with an advanced experience that shall explain and overlook the old."
-Emerson
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
- Dr. Seuss
"It must be borne in mind that the tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach. It isn't a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled, but a calamity not to dream. It is not a disaster to be unable to capture your ideal, but it is a disaster to have no ideal to capture. It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for."
-Dr. Benjamin E. Mays
