"The beat, the sound, the color of groove..."

The sound of this young group of musicians of neo-soul can be summarised with this slogan. The love for 'afro-american' music like Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz and funk makes their groove pleasant and magical. The musical identity of the band is a mix of a section of rhythmic new Soul, percussion of flavoured origins and rich harmonies to add. With the support of breathtaking and imposing backing singers, the colourful compositions aid the lead vocalist in her freedom of expression, sensuality and warmth to the lyrics and melody of the band. From the outsets of Bordeaux, Trip in Soul is a group of eight musicians descending from the same music school, the CIAM (traduction...) In 2005, after a year of studying together, Floriane Tiozzo and Nicolas Martin discovered they had the same passion for new soul and came to the conclusion that for new school to be more widely heard and recognised; they needed to set up their own band in form of this understated style of music. Soon after, the need for a pianist was imposing. Having already worked together in other bands Nicolas suggested to Benoit Michalon to join the group. Fascinated by this project he acceptes immediately. From then the work of composing could now begin. They spend the first two months collaborating together and writing music for a large part of their repertoire. Drawing the end of 2005 the importance of a talented drummer for new soul music led the already imposed group members to Joachim Berose. Returning from Cuba at the commencement of 2006, Natascha Rogers intergrated the group as percussionist. The instrumental section was finally complete. Deciding that their focus was more vocal, they decided to add backing singers in order to harmonise and put Floriane's melodies in place. Bénédicte Maillot, Bastien Picot et Florent Mateo were to join them in April 2006. Trip in Soul was now completed.From this moment on, their musical identity is born and affirmed in the orientation of this fabulous mix of different cultures and personalities of the band individuals. Descending from musicians filled with eclectic cultures and origins, Trip in Soul invites you to share their universe of borrowed sensational journeys, sensuality and horizons.......
