THIS WEEK: TRAILER 2 OF DISNEY PIXAR'S "RATATOUILLE"On first impressions of this trailer, this film doesn't look that promising- plot? Fairly weak unfortunately. From what you can glean from the trailer, this movie appears to be about a rat, who helps a wannabe kitchen boy, become a chef. Call me cynical, but this doesn't excite me....yet.We'll wait and see what happens in June.PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3: AT WORLDS END TEASER TRAILER FROM EMPIRE ONLINE/YAHOO MOVIES/POTC3 OFFICIAL WEBSITEInitially, having read this month's empire, I had been in the belief that the makers of potc3 had no plans to release a trailer of this sure fire hit, coz of the competition that it will be facing this summer from other sure hits, esp. spidey 3 and shrek 3 (i'm calling it the "trilogy summer" as there's a lotta 3's this year). However, since yesterday (20th March) I stand corrected, having glimnpsed at the trailer on gmtv and then checking it out this morning online. By the looks of things, this film appears to be the darkest of the three and barbosa (geoffrey rush) appears to have gone str8. While some critics are skeptical about pirates third installment, i'm confident that its sure to please die-hard fans...Gimme your thoughts on the trailer people...

.com ***** Once you get there and have let the page load, go to the "exclusives" section and you will find the final trailer in there- I'm not 100% sure if the link completely works but i can tell you that the first link above definitely does. You will see the best thing, I guarantee you! All i can say is let tha face off between pirates and spidey begin!!LAST WEEK: BRAND NEW "SHREK THE THIRD" TRAILER FROM iFILMUnlike last month's teaser which I ran here, this new trailer most definitely sees some more plot development than the previous trailer. The plot given by Empire is that "when Fiona's father croaks, Shrek is told that if he doesn't find the heir to the thrown he will have to be king himself". As depicted in the above trailer, Shrek and his crew must find Prince Arthur, (or Artie as stated in other sources) voiced by none of than Justin Timberlake.
While I am a fan of the shrek franchise and am impressed by what I see in the trailer, what worries me is that because of the expectation placed upon it, the film will be a total flop. Compared to the plotlines of the previous two films, shrek the third does seem a lil weaker. However, I'm equally sure that dreamworks won't fail to impress in other ways to compensate for this- what with both Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas reprising their roles as Donkey and Puss in Boots. I think this film could go either way; it seems that dreamworks have also set themselvs up for shrek 4 (plans of it were released last month on empire)- the imminent arrival of kids...
FINALLY....TRANSFORMERS: OFFICIAL TRAILER
This is another film trailer which I'm impressed with. When I first read about the plans for this movie, I thought it was gonna be about those action figure toys that you can by for your son in the entertainer. However, if the synopsis is anything to go by, that's about as opposite as it gets....
According to iFilm, the plot revolves around how "the Earth is caught in the middle of an intergalactic war between two races of robots, the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons, which are able to change into a variety of objects, including cars, trucks, planes and other technological creations." From this, I'm guessing that Transformers could be War of The Worlds mark 2. Still, at this stage in its 'release', I'm impressed...
LAST MONTH: "FANTASTIC FOUR 2: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER" TEASER TRAILER FROM iFILMAccording to Empire, this is set to be a big summer blockbuster (despite their disappointment at the last film). I thought the last film was an achievement bearing in mind that it came in the shadow of Spiderman and Xmen, the other marvel comic giants. While this teaser does remain short, it does reveal a snap of the man in question-the silver surfer himself (to see a still, check out the corkboard). The graphics are reminiscent of terminator's judgement day and remain impressive. I personally, look forward to the film' release this summer.
"SHREK THE THIRD" TEASER TRAILERPlot details for the third installment in the Shrek saga still remain a lil sketchy, but on viewing the teaser, there is a general feel for where the plot is headed. According to iFilm, "When his new father-in-law, King Harold (John Cleese) falls ill, Shrek (Mike Myers) is looked at as the heir to the land of Far, Far Away. Not one to give up his beloved swamp, Shrek recruits his friends Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) to install the rebellious Artie (Justin Timberlake) as the new king. Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), however, rallies a band of royal girlfriends to fends off a coup d'etat by the jilted Prince Charming (Rupert Everett)." I hope that dreamworks manage to pull this film off, in light of their more recent let downs (with the exception of over the hedge)...
HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX TEASERWith the fifth installment arriving around the same time as the final book's release (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), there's no doubt that this film will please book fans where the franchise can do no wrong, even if this teaser is less than a minute in length. According to director Davis Yates, while the book remains the biggest, the film was actually the easiest to surmise. I apologise for the annoying spanish subtitles, but the non-subtitle version is currently unavailable to me me.Whether you love it or hate it, HP5 plans to do wonders at the box office...
SPIDERMAN 3: TEASER AND TRAILER 1
3 words for this movie: Oh. My. God. Both these trailers look amazing and I can't wait for the next installment of Spiderman. The special effects more than live up to expectations and the sneak peek of the villains Sandman and the infamous Vernom, make you just wanna scream out for more. Released in the same week/month as Pirates 3, these two titans will be going head to head. Spidey, get ready to steal summer...
