Live Connection is a “not-for-profit†organisation and was established in 2000. It has grown rapidly over the past several years. Our vision is to partner with a thousand pastors by the year 2010. Whilst Western missionaries have their place in overseas evangelism, the cost of one Western missionary equates to approximately 80 rural pastors. More importantly, rural pastors are best placed to relate to their own culture and they do not need to maintain a costly Western lifestyle.
Our vision is to assist in the release of God’s resources to enable pastors to proclaim the Good news of Jesus Christ. By financially supporting rural Pastors and providing leadership training opportunities, we are partnering with what we perceive as the 21st century approach to world-wide mission.

How it began...Paul and Renee Ravesteyn are ministers at Northgate Church of Christ, Belrose, New South Wales. They have a heart for Africa. Renee grew up in the bush of Zambia until she was 18. Paul, at the age of 22, found himself in Africa building hospitals, schools and churches.
In 1989, during a building expedition, Renee’s brother Ian was tragically taken and killed by a crocodile. After this devastating event, Paul and Renee met, fell in love and got married. They now have 5 children and have not lost their passion for Africa and overseas ministry.
Having commenced Live Connection in the year 2000 there are now many partnerships with pastors in South Africa, Lesotho, Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and the Philippines. Live Connection has offices in Sydney Australia and Durban South Africa.
