Hi everyone. A little about me. I grew up in many places. Being part Javanese, Chinese, Japanese, and Malaysian really brought me all around Asia, and New York. I started singing since I was 6. Playing guitar since 13. And other instruments every now and then. I get bored easy. Maybe that's the reason why I was never any good on any of them, eheh. So then I got back to just singing, playing guitar, and writing. In grade school, I was on a lot of choir competitions, school events stuff and whatnot until it all came down to me that it did not justify on what I truly wanted to do. So I moved to New York where I found life, love, and my deep passion in music. There, on my high school years I sang with a gospel band(GUM), produced an album. Was a drummer for Skipper, a punk/rock all girl band. We played in plenty underground venues in New York including CBGB the New York home of underground rock that is now sadly has been closed down. Collaborated with many other bands there but I realized I wasn't writing enough. As I moved back to Indonesia for the reason of needing my family, my home, I started writing more, meeting people from the industry, while at the same time struggling to achieve the sound and soul that best explains me. With the help of great musicians here, I'm starting to understand more on how my music should be. Although it's hard trying to present yourself truthfully in the country that doesn't appreciate honesty much. So here I am, beneath all things, made possible.I am a simple girl who love music, and cherish it with passion and soul. Having to grew up lonely, music is my only friend. I command what I love, and believe that one day all the inspirations in the world will come to understand me. The small steps I take allows me to grow into my own bitter sweet self, yet it completes the minor thoughts my lyrics are defined to be listened.So, listen to me. Be my parody.
