it all started in fall 2005 when thomas prömer met andreas"luigi" luger in a shopping mall. he told him about his and thomas pichlers ongoing project and luigi was really interested. they started recording at lugers studio and it was him who brought the other two into the band. since then the band has consequently made its way from a studio project to a band, that really rocks the stage. the first cd "TRUST THE FAKE" is now finished and a video has been made( whip me) by diz(veryvary prod.) .see the slides about the shooting and take look at our first masterpiece!!

Amusingly describing themselves as “the oldest boy-band of the planet,†Austria’s Fake Gods are anything but. This is more like Joy Division fronted by Thomas Dolby. It’s also absolutely fabulous. “Whip Me†stole my heart the first time I heard it - I have a sneaking suspicious this will be showing up on mix tapes around my house for years to come.
