Background By UltimateMyspace Born and raised in Northern Ireland, I moved to New York, after graduating from college in England, seventeen years ago, and have worked with underserved, minority youth in Brooklyn for 12 years. I love helping others, especially those that dont usually have a voice that is heard. I am a shy person by nature, which is not easy when you are 6 4, but when I am passionate about something I am not afraid to speak up. I have great, sometimes off beat, sense of humor, and think laughter is one of the most wonderful sounds in the world. I have had a great life so far, which has had its share of heartache, but it is a life full of blessings and I try not to take them for granted. I am a simple person who is more impressed with who someone is as opposed to what they have attained. I am honest, independent, strong minded, creative, commitment and family oriented, secure with silence, and a great believer that things happen for a reason. I am a work in progress, and as I move forward I want to learn how to dance as though no one is watching me, love as though I have never been hurt before, sing as though no one can hear me, and live as though heaven is here on earth"- one of my favorite quotes, from Souza. I would also like to learn how to drive, cook, live more in the moment, and be a better human being. Ok, so Souza had a better way with words, what can I tell you?

My Interests

I love, love, love, listening to music and singing. I love walking in the city, having brunch with friends, going to the movies or the theatre, watching TV or reading a book in the comfort of my home.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet someone who is aware of themselves enough to know who they are, and who they would like to be in a relationship with, and someone who is supportive; with the time, heart and commitment for that relationship. Someone generous in spirit, mind and heart, who accepts me for who I am, and recognizes our differences as something positive. I would love to meet someone who is not afraid to be vulnerable, someone who says I love you because they have been in love and know the power of these words, someone who is strong and gentle, passionate and deep, confident and humble. Ultimately, I would like to meet someone who I could share the rest of my life with, but if I only make some new friends along the way, then the journey will have been worth it.

Music:

I love music and have atleast one song from most genres on my ipod. I grew up in the 80's so the music from that decade means a lot to me.

Movies:

I will watch anything as long as it is good. Unfortunately by the time you figure out it isn't good they already have your $11!!!

Television:

I like the Real World on MTV. I watch it and thank god that I wasn't ever that dumb!!! Or was I? I also like Sci-fi and comedy shows. I have a funny sense of humor, so if it makes me laugh, then it must be hilarious.

Books:

Currently reading "You can say you knew me when", by K.M. Soehnlein, and Ive just finished "Bird Shit Foreigner", by Sulayman X. I like reading Gay themed/authored books, because our lives are too often hidden, and I like to support the community.
