Would you like to know my story?... My name is Claudia...I am over 200 years years old...How do you ask? I shall tell you.. .... I was born in the year 1789 in a family of lower class. I was a peasant. I loved my Mother very much, although fate had other plans for me and my Mother. Shortly after my sixth birthday my Mother had become ill with the sickness that had been a sort of plague in New Orleans in 1794. She would not allow me to know this and carried on as if she never was sick. It was as if she knew that she was dying and did not want me to know I would soon become an orphan. My father had planned for us to move to New York. We would set sail that evening, that fatefful evening....But my mother would not awaken...It was soon after my Mother's death that I met Louis. I had believed he had come perhaps to help me, but I had been wrong. For he had bitten me and left me there. I believe in part due to fear.. The next morning I had been found in the streets injured and was brought to the children's hospital to be nursed back to health. It was soon after that when Lestat found me there. Lestat took me from the children's hospital back to the home he and Louis shared. It was there that my fate had become sealed. In order to keep Louis from leaving him he turned me into a vampire. For I was to be their daughter... Life was blissful for a short period, and I was quite happy in the beginning. For I was no longer an orphan and I had a family who cared for me. Yet after that short period was when things went horribly wrong. You see I had become tormented when I had come to the realization that I would forever be trapped inside the body of a six year old girl. Although my mind continued to mature I would forever appear as a child... Louis was the only one who seemed to understand me.... Lestat continued to see me as nothing more then a little girl, a porcelain doll so to say...I knew that I would never be anything more then a child to him. I had begun to feel a hatred towards him, for it had been his fault that had been forever trapped as a child..That I would live with torment for the rest of eternity...So I orchestrated his murder... I attempted to poisen him, and then slit his throat so he would bleed to death. After that Louis and I sent him into the swamps. However my plan failed when he returned. I knew he would come after me. But Louis saved me by setting him and the house on fire. Louis and I finally fled to Paris...Where we wished to meet the others of our kind. In Paris we met Armand and the vampires of the Theater Des Vampires. Where we first were embraced into the culture. It was there that I noticed I was losing Louis to Armand. I could not be alone...So I convinced Louis to turn Madeleine into a vampire.. Madeleine owned a doll shop in Paris..She told me I looked like the daughter she had lost, and she reminded me in personality so much of my lost mother. It was fate... Madeleine became my mother, and I was happy for only a short time.... When Lestat arrived in Paris the vampires had discovered what I had attempted and put me to trial. I was found guilty and was to die by the rays of the sun.... My mother Madeleine was to die with me so I would not be alone... As I thought I was to have breathed my last breath. I was rescued..Were it not for the kindness of a stranger I may never have lived...I was weak and nearly gone by that point....Eventually I became strong again, but now a fear had been instilled in me...For if anyone knew I lived I may be in danger.... The Sn which was to be the instrument of my death had done its damage. However one god thing did come of this. I was aged. By some miracle the rays which had so harmed me had also aged me. For I have the look of a girl of 20. I had finally gotten my wish.... When I became well I decided the hardest thing, I would live a lonely existence in hiding. I spent years scattered across Europe until finally now...In 2007 I have returned to my home in New Orleans.... For only now do I feel safe enough to not hide.
