We are building a network of people who work in the service industry(mainly coffeeshops, restaurants, bars, clothing stores, movie theatres, anywhere that being an employee gives you perks). The requirement is that you share the resources of your job and the knowledge you have about the city you live in and in exchange you receive the knowledge of our members and the goods and services that our members can provide.
Here's an example:
Say that you work at a coffee shop in Portland, Oregon. You are able to give your friends a free latte and a bagel every now and then. You like to go to shows and hang out with poets who read their poetry at open mics. You also occasionally do graffiti art pieces in public spaces. You know when the occasional party happens. You have a friend that gets you into see shows for free here and there. You like the perks you've accumulated in Portland but you are going to be in Jacksonville, Florida for Christmas and you don't know anyone there.
This is where we come in.
You contact us and let us know when you'll be there and how you can be reached. We contact any of our members in and around Jacksonville that you are coming and that they will hear from you and you are informed who to call and where to go to be hooked up with whatever we have access to.
The level of access that you are given is directly proportional to the level of access you can provide. Greater access and frequency of involvement give you more perks in your own city as well as everywhere else.
The goal is to eventually be able to guarantee any of our members cost free travel expenses, room and board, food, and entertainment in every metropolitan area in the world. That won't be possible without serious efforts on the part of all members to increase their influence and personal access.
