207 is a hiphop-allstar formation based in the netherlands, in the city of Utrecht. They combine multiple languages in a blazing mix of somewhat politically engaged rap.
Founded by PerC , a dutch rapper, who had a studio and was not affraid to share it with those who he thought was talented enough to bless his mic. Soon Atactic , known from the legendary groups "6 of your best friends" and "Brutal Minds Inc." joined him, which led to idea of combining english and dutch rap. These men recorded a few songs, convincin' a festival booker in Barcelona, (check the video-section). Went there, blew the place up, inspiring a new rapper, known by the name of ReaZun . Back in Holland he wrote his first lines ever in french for the track "Context". PerC and Atactic decided to let him be part of 207, and a new era began. They kept on recording, till ParAdoX , known also from "6 of your best friends" and "Brutal minds Inc.", now bein' GRAND in Europe with his group "Illicit" , heard the track "Wat is nou die scene". He had to be on it, and he rushed to PerC's studio to complete that legendary track. The rest of group thought it'd be a good idea to invite PAX to join the group with more english vibes. When it was time to bring our music to the people we asked the legendary M16 or Mseize to join us to be the DJ
The idea to rap in all these languages is not to make it more difficult for you to understand. Some of u might be aware, Europe is becoming smaller and smaller. People of different cultures are working together to have a better future. Inspired by these ideals we decided that spreading our messages and ideas should not be limited by differences in language. 207 works with a variety of producers. First one is the legendary Infinite or Inf , who made most of our beats. Also legend producer C'mon of C'mon & Kypski provides them fresh joints. Bink is a man which will take Utreg sound to a higher level, and Pry (of Pax & Pry and Illicit) will twist ur head with his futuristic sound! Also DJ Lah brought us pleasure. They provided the beats, we wrote the lyrics..
The rest is history.
Soon 207 recorded the track called "Verval" chosen to be "FunX-topper". After that buzz they did a lot of shows and recorded an EP called "Enjeweet" . Boemklatsch's "Utreg Centraal" edition 2 & 3 were hightimes, when at edition 2 they released there EP, and sold over 100 copy's that same night. When they're invited to do the Utrecht preshow of U.S. rappers "Camp Lo" , they realize a goal is reached. It's a dream turning reality to do a preshow of those who inspired us to love this culture.
Nowadays 207 is working on a fresh album to be released very soon. Every rapper itself is part of other projects as well, soon to be pumped into the airwaves. PerC will drop his first solo-album soon, PAX is surprisin' us soon with the collaboration "Pax & Pry" . His tour with Arrested Development in Europe has also led to a colaboration which will soon come to us. ReaZun and PAX work together with a promising producer "Kyteman" , soon to be realeased on vinyl.
