About Me

What do you get when you combine members of Awaken Secrets, Nascent and Straight Razor Halo? Contortionist.
The brainchild of guitarist Marcelo Menne, Contortionist was a difficult project to put together. After five long years of hard work, a core group of members were finally found and a three-track demo, oozing with progressive-yet-catchy melodies and impressive percussion work by drummer Libor Hadrava was cooked up with producer Jeff Briggs. John Hurtado and Mark Willson were enlisted to lay down the bass lines. Vocalist Myke Havoc was brought in to perform the last piece of the puzzle, laying down some nicely layered voice tracks filled with harmonies and his trademark wail, sounding reminiscent of metal singers of yesteryear. A ver rough version of the early demos without many touch-ups still got quite a bit of record label interest, so the new polished one is sure to get picked up. The band is still seeking permanent members to play bass guitar and keyboards. Any interested musicians within the Mass. area with proper transportation be sure to send us a message so we can set something up.
