Liberty City Records est. 2005 Liberty City Records was established in 2005 by Tramar Roberts aka Montana Blak. As an artist himself, he wanted the freedom to record and create songs with out limitations. Conventional labels have a lot of power over what an artists releases and sometimes even what they record. Quite honestly most of them have stayed away from the core and purpose behind hip-hop and its culture. Tramar structured Liberty City Records to allow artists the freedom they need to create good music. The roster of artists stretches from reality hip-hop to grimy street rap, with out forgetting the smooth sounds of R&B. Each artist adds a unique flavor and is an essential asset to the team. There is way more to this indie label then recording and releasing DVD’s, CD’s, and Mix Tapes. LCC Family hosts several networking events and night life parties throughout the year, not to mention they sponsor several community events annually. As a company Liberty City Records makes a point to give back to communities and support the Stop The Violence movement here in Philadelphia Recently Liberty City Records has opened to doors to thier industry quality recording studio, First Union Studios. Aside from recording LC is staffed with 3 producers, 2 sound engineers, several song writters, 2 graphic designers and a strong promotional team.FORTAE THE BEAST IS PHILADELPHIA'S R&B KING. GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY, OR A CHALLENGE FROM WORTHY OPPOSITION, HE IS MORE THAN WILLING TO PROVE THIS THEORY WITHOUT HESITATION.FORTAE WAS BORN IN PHILADELPHIA,PA. FROM BIRTH, IT WAS CLEAR THAT HE WAS SPECIAL, DIFFERENT EVEN, FROM OTHER CHILDREN. HE WAS WALKING AND TALKING @ 9 MONTHS, AND SINGING ALMOST AS EARLY. PLACED IN THE CHURCH CHOIR AT THE AGE OF 4, FORTAE REALIZED AT AN EARLY AGE THAT HE COULD HEAR, PROCESS, MIMIC, AND EVEN TEACH ANY VOICE PART, AND BEGAN TO ASSIST THE CHOIR DIRECTOR WITH REHEARSAL AND VOCAL ARRANGEMENT.AT 14, FORTAE WAS INTRODUCED TO R&B AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT IMMEDIATELY. HE BEGAN SINGING SONGS HE LEARNED FROM THE RADIO AND BEGAN BUILDING A FAN BASE. BEING RAISED IN THE CHURCH, HE WAS FACED WITH THE DECISION OF DOING SECULAR MUSIC OR REMAINING WITH HIS GOSPEL ROOTS. AFTER A CONVERSATION WITH HIS MOTHER, WHICH TOOK PLACE AFTER HE WAS TOLD BY A CHURCH MEMBER THAT HE HAD TO CHOOSE ONE GENRE OF MUSIC OR THE OTHER, FORTAE CHOSE TO TURN TO R&B, BUT STILL MAINTAINS HIS FAITH IN GOD AND HOLDS ON TO HIS GOSPEL ROOTS.AT THE AGE OF 17, FORTAE WAS INTRODUCED TO A GROUP OF YOUNG MEN WHO WERE AS PASSIONATE ABOUT MUSIC AS HE WAS, SO THEY BECAME FRIENDS AND LATER DECIDED TO FORM AN ACCAPELLA GROUP. THIS GROUP BECAME A HIT IN THE GERMANTOWN AREA, BUT BECAUSE OF THE AGES OF THE MEMBERS, LIMITED THEM TO LOCAL EXPOSURE. THIS RESULTED IN THE GROUP BECOMING DISCOURAGED AND ULTIMATELY, DISBANDING.AT 22, FORTAE ONCE AGAIN FOUND HIS PLACE IN A GROUP THAT WAS FORMED WHEN HE, & 2 FRIENDS HE MET WHILE MODELING FORMED A GROUP THAT WOULD BE KNOWN AS RUNWAY. RUNWAY WAS PACKED WITH TALENT, SEX APPEAL, AND THE KNOWLEDGE OF 3 YOUNG ADULTS WHO HAD BEEN IN THE GAME FOR A FEW YEARS AND WERE HUNGRY FOR SUCCESS. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, RUNWAY NEVER BECAME WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE DUE TO A LACK OF COMMUNICATION.NOW HERE WE ARE AT PRESENT DAY FORTAE, A FOCUSED, SOLO ARTIST WHO IS PREPARED TO KICK IN THE DOOR OF THE INDUSTRY AND MAKE HIS PRESENCE KNOWN. HE IS KNOWN AS THE BEAST NOT JUST BECAUSE OF HIS HULKING 6'4, 230LBS FRAME OR HIS VOCAL PROWESS, BUT BECAUSE OF HIS UNMATCHED MARKETABLITY, HIS HUGELY OUTGOING PERSONALLITY, AND HIS UNDYING WORK ETHIC.CONTACT FORTAE FOR COLLABORATIONS, AS A MODEL, A HOST, OR FOR ANYTHING THAT IS ENTERTAINMENT.HE IS A BEAST.
