Enema & Gejonte (later Enema & Gejonte med lite Torbjörn) started in 1988 and kept going until 1996 when I (Jonas) moved to Amsterdam to study art. Me and Kai Parviainen met because all our friends said that we liked the same noise music. There where not that many industrial music fans in Örebro at that time.We met at a horrible A Gruhm concert. We started to play around with tape recorders and vinyl loops. Kai had a dr. Rythm drummachine, a Casio RZ-1 (a great drum machine) and a Prophet 1 analog synth. Later on Torbörn Helander joined after he had seen us live a couple of times. At that time we were more of a live band.We used to play quite a lot in and around Örebro. We were funny, noisy and energetic. So despite the noise people used to like it quite a bit. Torbjörn could play instruments, trombone, trumpet, guitars and piano. So that increased our possibilities and made us almost Jazzy in some songs at least. There will be a reunion concert in Amsterdam 31 August 2007. Together with a bunch of other old noise acts such as En Halvkokt I Folie Brunst, Kropp, Plopp and Frak.
