The Trinity
There is a Celtic symbol called the "triquetra", which is also known as the "trinity knot". This symbol has been around for hundreds of years and has represented many things for many people. For some, it has stood for the connection of mind, body, and spirit. For others, it takes the form of a more religious symbol, representing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It has also been known to symbolize the triple form of the ancient gods and goddesses.
However, no matter the symbolism, there is one unmistakable truth in this Celtic knot. And that is the underlying meaning of it, which is the way in which three separate essences were vitally interconnected.
A couple of years back, three girls, now women, entered the college world afraid and not knowing what to expect. Looking for friendship. These girls made a decision to join an organization, and through this organization they met each other, and no letters, no ritual, no event would ever even begin to express the genuine bond that these women formed. They became best friends, they became sisters...not by blood, and not just through the letters they wore across their chest, but by living every day knowing that each one has the other's back. Each one is the other's rock. Each one will share in the other's happiness, and cry with the others when there are times of sorrow. Each woman found her wingwoman, her bridesmaid, her best friend, her sister. Each woman found that college was not so scary anymore. That heartbreak was actually more bearable. That true friends are there no matter what. That the same blood doesn't need to run through one's veins to be family. That none of these women will ever find themselves feeling alone. And that this bond would never be severed or broken.
Through thick and thin, rain or shine, love and heartbreak, days at the beach, shopping sprees, road trips, friends that come and go, drinking games, fights with our parents, losing loved ones, playing dominos, growing up, crying, laughing, learning, living...we are...the trinity.

I was born and raised here in sunny Miami. I LOVE to travel. I swear that's the entire reason I work. Most of the money goes to travel. If I don't travel every so often I start to get irritable. I've been to over half the U.S, parts of Canada, almost every Caribbean island, a lot of Western Europe... I'm Cuban American though no one can tell. I can speak Spanish and German, on top of English(duh) and I recently started learning Japanese(I really have no idea why...).I love to make new friends and am a pretty outgoing person. I've been told I'm a huge flirt, but then it comes naturally to my family tree, family period. I love to smile and laugh, it's what I'm usually doing, unless I'm driving in Miami. Then you'd better just get the hell outta my way! :P I enjoy peoples company, but also like my alone time so I can curl up with a good book. Ummmm.... Can't really think of anything else right now...
