Im an outgoing Aussie Chick, born 81, from the West Coast with a passion for travel, exotic animals and fast cars. Ive just come back from a 2 month Contiki trip of Europe and Egypt. I love Egypt! The cultural experience you encounter when you get "amongst it" in poorer countries such as that is something you never forget. Thats probably also why I loved living in Sri Lanka. The people were beautiful and the country wasn't corrupted by the tourist industry, or perhaps it was just because I was living in the mountainous rainforest area of Kegalle instead of a major city like Colombo. In my quest to get into the zoo-keeping industry I ended up working with Asian Elephants and learning the art of being a Mahout (elephant handler) while living in Sri Lanka for 3 months. Ive also worked at Perth Zoo on the Elephant section (briefly...I'm allergic to hay and had to resign!)and now im at Quarantine as an inspector and Animal Handler looking after cats and dogs immigrating with their families to Australia from overseas. Ive also worked with native wildlife and in a Vet surgery. Next port of call would have to be Africa or NZ. At the moment I'm fighting an unbelievable passion to travel (I feel like I should be doing the responsible thing and working on my investments for my financial future) but I think I'm losing...so I may be on the road again soon, hopefully! I'm a bit spontaneous and I always get what I want...usually! If I want to do something and I'm passionate about it then I'll make it happen. Being a cancerian im a bit of a home-maker and love renovating.
