I enjoy reading and writing poetry. I write poetry for the people that I care about. I enjoy reading with my children. I love baseball "Go Phillies" swimming, fishing, crabbing, walking on the beach and long quiet drives. I enjoy anything that we can do as a family with the kids. I love walking along the river and watching the dog run with the kids. I absolutely love professional boxing and I still believe that George Foreman was forced into retirement! I enjoy playing dice with my friends and especially spending anytime with Mom and Aunt Ruth.
The pictures that I am using on this page were made for me by a very good friend. He actually made me a page and I am using the pictures that are on it. The picture of the boat is especially special to me because it is the last tugboat that my "Daddy" (may he rest in peace)was a captain on. My friend used the original picture of the tug to make this one.
I would really like to meet members of my family that I have not met already. My maternal grandparents extended family as well as my paternal grandparents extended family.

I tend to read any book that my 15 year old daughter reads. I like to be up to speed on her intersts and what she is learning from the books that she chooses to read. I must admit that she reads some really good books and that makes me proud of the reader that she has become. I read alot of Daniel Steel and pretty much whatever seems interesting to me at that time
One hero in my life is my mother. She is a very brave and strong woman. There is nothing that she will not do for her family. Although some of my siblings get hurt and angry over what she does for one of the others, I know that she would do it for each and everyone of us if we were in that same situation. She is in her early 70's and is raising my toddler niece and nephew due to circumstances that my brother and his girlfriend refuse to change.
Another hero in my life is my daughter Alexandra. Very much like my mother she is a very brave and strong young woman. She has proved to me that she can be the backbone of our family if need be. She does not hold a grudge, she sees the good in everyone. Although she does not always overlook the bad in people she does not turn her back on those in need.
My mother's oldest sister, Aunt Ruth is another hero in my life. She lost her husband after 49 years of marriage, lost two of her younger sisters to breast cancer, and leukemia. She also lost a brother to suicide. She is nearly 88 years old and she stands on her own two feet, lives on her own, is always there for my mother and myself. I only hope that she knows how much that I love and respect her.
I only hope that these women in my life know how much I love, respect and appreciate them. I wish that I could be more like them.
Larry's mom is definately another hero. I have only known her for four years. In that short time I have witnessed a love that I hope to experience in my life. Her husband suffered with Alzheimers Disease and she stood by his side through it all. Although he was only in my life for a short time he is another hero in my life. I know that the love they shared has to come from them both to be as strong as it is. My parents divorced when I was young and they showed me that true love really does exist! I have grown to love them both very much and I miss Larry's Dad as much as I miss my Daddy "may they both rest in peace"
Larry, Ricky and Sammy are the three men in my life that are the most important to me. They are also hero's for many different reasons.
There are also two little heroes in my life. They are my nephew Bryce and my niece Kasey. Bryce is 4 years old and Kasey is 3 years old. They are being raised by my mom. their parents are crack heads who only give a shit about themselves and noone else. They could go to rehab and straighten themself out and get their kids back but they choose drugs! What a waste! These two have a long hard road ahead of them, especially when they realize that their parents continue to choose drugs over them. They have been with my mom since Bryce was under two and Kase was just under one. They are definately two little survivors and I will always make sure that they know they are loved by me.
