I'd like to meet:
AIGEIRA HILLCLIMB
On the 17th of June I competed in the Hillclimb of Ancient Aigeira, 3rd round of the Greek championship. The course had been included in the European Hillclimb championship in the past years. On Saturday's practice session I made the fastest time in my class. On Sunday the temperatures were very high, 40 degrees celsius was a fact. Despite the heat and the fact that both coolant and oil temperature gauges have been in the red, I managed to win my 10 competing classmates, driving fast on both sessions! Before Aigeira I was in the 2nd position of the championship, now I am first with a difference of 7 points! Next race is on September, after the summer holiday, its the Hillclimb of Portaria in Pelion.

Acropolis Rally, WRC round of GREECE
Hey! Just been back from the Acropolis! It was a life experience to compete in WRC. My driver Labros Athnassoulas and me drove the Impreza N12B quite fast making some stage times very close to those of the first PRODUCTION WRC Crews. Unfortunately on the 2nd day we suffered from a lot of punctures. Acropolis is a harsh rally and we had numerous punctures in SS Agioi Theodoroi II. A damaged tyre tied itself around the driveshaft and we stopped using SuperRally to start the 3rd leg. Until then we were 11th in the Group N classification out of 29 N/4 crews who were still in the race at the time. Also we were 2nd for the Greek Group N with a little time difference from the Greek 2 times champions P. Hatzitsopanis - N. Petropoulos. We were winners for the Greek Group N in almost all the stages we didnt have a puncture and also in Agioi Theodoroi I with a puncture for the last 6 km. Then on the third day we finished quite successfully as third winners in the non-priority classification, although we had 20 minutes added in our time for using Super Rally.
RALLY FTHIOTIDAS 2007
L. Sotirchos - N. Zakcheos made a nice start but ended up very unlucky at the premiere of the 2007 Greek Tarmac Cup. On the first SS of the Rally, the 2006 Tarmac Cup Holders succeeded in winning the overall classification. Next day saw Lefteris and Nikos competing in the stages located in Giona mountain were they managed to be second overall at Pauliani I and winners of F3 in every stage. Unfortunately while battling for the 4th overall position in the last SS, Pauliani II, the engine of the Citroen Saxo suffered damage which led to the withdrawal from race. That was not the end of the weekend though, as Lefteris and Nikos were pilots for the gravel leg of the race using Aris Vovos' Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8, prepared by the Italian Ralliart. Next Race is Kentavros Rally (July 1st), at the mountain of Centaurs, Pelion.
