Instrumentalists improvising over upbeat dance tunes, converting their concerts into genuine dance sessions. ELECTROFUNK are Alvaro Arribas y David Manso, but the stage live act consists: sax, trombone, flute, electric guitar, bass, percusion, voice, keyboards and Dj + samplers.1st place Lagarto Festival (Jaén) 2nd place Villa be Bilbao (Bilborock)Group History The was born when Alvaro Arribas, regular sax player in nationally-renowned groups such as Celtas Cortos, began to play house music on tour with Primera Linea, Lucky Strike or Licor 43 Dance Tour (1999-2002). He then got together with Funk and Soul guitarrist, David Manso, who showed an interest in the new tendencies in electronoic music.They decided to form Electrofunk, a live house music duo, playing with the most well known DJs of the moment (Cesar de Melero, Cesar del Rio-PRIVILEGE Ibiza-, Makoki, Oscar de Ribera-KU Benidorm-, Luis Bonias, Curro Puertas, Valentin de Moreda) at many national venues. They decided to bring on board a percussionist ( Diego MartinM, Madrid Musicians’ Workshop + National School of Improvisation...).For the live stage act they also included various musicians who had recorded singles with them, such as soul singer , Cesar Diez (bass player who has toured around the country with Cadena 100 and their Rock ‘n ‘ Roll Moments), and Iván Karlón (The Tostones). Althroug a lot of musicians have been playing whit the band in diferents moments: Philippe Stefani, Kuadri (Trombone) Merche, Monica, Rebeca, Yoio, Gloria (voices) Luis Hernandez (Hammond y Rodhes), Gorka Hermosa (Accordion), Raul Olivar (Spanish guitar), Israel (bass), Cristian de Hugo (Percussion)...They released their first single “I just want to boogie” on a national level, a track that was included on the KU ANNUAL 2002 on the PROVIDENCE label. The track was studio-mixed by Oscar de Rivera and Curro Puertas, under the supervision of Fernandisco and Sample King.Electrofunk has just presented its live act in Palma, Mallorca, at Tito’s in Madrid and at the renowned venue La Riviera along with Carlos Jean, La Fundación Tony Manero and Guateque All Star.It has entered two of the most prestigious competitions in Spain, beating off competition from more than 800 national and international groups to come first and second, respectively, in the Lagarto Festival and Villa de Bilbao.At the moment the band is formed Alvaro Arribas and David Manso, but the stage live act consists of all the aforementioned members:- sax, guitar, trombone, flute, percussionn, voice, bass + sequencer + sampler.
