John Covert (keyboards, vocals, BMI songwriter, publisher, producer) established Crystal Image in 1968. He has opened for Tower of Power, The Chiffons, Chad and Jeremy, Sons of Champlin, Simon & Garfunkel, Gary U.S. Bonds and many others. Covert was Grand prize winner in the Nashville Music City Song Festival and multi-finalist in the American Song Festival. His songs have been featured on the VH1 TV show "Driven" (also featuring grammy winner, Usher), an episode of "The Sopranos" on A&E network, The Nashville Network, a CD release out of England/Ireland (also featuring Steppenwolf) and on the ABC TV soap, "General Hospital", in Billboard, Country song roundup, USA gospel news magazines, number one in 1999 on the country gospel music guild charts, Hollywood movies and more. One of Covert's songs is published by Universal Music Group (Rondor Music) who also publishes songs of The Beachboys, Otis Redding, Tom Petty.
