Even as a young boy barely in school me, Kertis "JUKEBOX" Nelson had a love for music. I listened to everything from 2PAC and BIGGIE to NIRVANA and THE RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS. Around the 5th grade is when I started to seriously listen to rap music. MASTER P and MYSTIKAL and any other DIRTY SOUTH artists were who I would consider my favorites.As I grew into middle school and high school I began to broaden what I listened to and venture into East Coast and West Coast rap. I was always walking around the hallways or out on the football practice field singing or rapping something. In high school, being the one who knew every word to every song is how I got the knickname JUKEBOX. I'd write down little rhymes into a notebook and some boys from church and I would sit around a table and make up little songs.Early into my senior year of high school Dan aka MC DARK NIGHT of the KROOKED KLAN heard that I could do a little spittin and asked me to be on a few tracks for their album "KRUNK IN DIS JUNK". I was featured on 3 songs on the album that's when the buzz around town started to grow. People saw my potential as a solo artist and their eagerness feuled my eagerness to try it out. Dark Night was more than willing to record me over a few beats and would eventually executive produce my 1st album/mixtape "THE CREATION".That album created an even bigger buzz not only around Enterprise and the surrounding areas but also around the STATE as other up and coming artists requested to feature me on a few songs for their albums. I eventually became a member of THA KROOKED KLAN and helped carry a good bit of the load on their latest album "TIME 2 SHINE".After taking a bit of time off for school and doing little mixtape projects I'm getting ready to get back in the studio and start the recording of my OFFICIAL DEBUT album "WAKE EM UP" which should be out sometime in 2007. This upcoming album should be the one to show u the versatility and lyrical skills that I possess and as of now it's highly anticipated by many.As I've always said, performing rap music is something I do for the benefit of myself and others. Alot of people take it really seriously and stress alot when it's really unneccesary. I do it for the love and fun that comes along with it. I make music for the people that love it and making them happy is what I plan to accomplish through my music.
