"Doug Brown 3.0" coming February 17th "When I was broke hoes called me 'Doug Funny' but now a nigga straight hoes call me 'Doug Money'" says the emcee jokingly.
And at this point no one can deny that. Born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia, the 21-year-old is 'definetely' about his money. CEO, president, and producer of Sharpshooter Music Group is just the tip of this musical iceberg. Add in his new clothing line Demili and DJ group Team Slo Mo, and he could definetely sink a ship."This time around I'ma get mine" he explains.
Since 2000 he's been a prominent force within the local rap scene. But starting his career was no easy challenge. At his former high school he ran into Daron''Gate$''Street and Ramon''ANO''Terry and formed the supergroup ''Dynasty of Madness''. "We had a name around the school for battling and sold a couple copies, but we knew our skills were seriously slept on" he recalls "but we kept on pushin'".
After a failed restructure of the group all the members parted their ways. ANO formed "Hard Hitta Ent." and Doug soon joined forces. After a few mixtape releases and the latest collaboration "Advisory" Doug went back in the studio to focus on his own.
Amply dubbed Douglas Brown, the album will feature local artist and a few "suprises" he notes. "I wanted to do this album for so long but things just weren't right! And timing is the key"
Production from ANO and of course himself, bang out every track. And a host of street-tuned singles will have you saying ''Can I get a replay?!"
