Rukkuz was born in 1983 and raised as a native of Newark, NJ in Hyatt Court Projects. Early on, he faced adversity firsthand while living in a household which consisted of his mother, father, a older brother, and three siblings. At the young age of 12 years old, his father passed away. Without a father figure to guide him, he decided to follow behind his brother and allow the street life to raise him while also discovering "rapping, gangs, and selling drugs" as well. Not too long after, Rukkuz was sentenced to serve two years as a juvenile at the age of 16. He was then incarcerated once again as an adult in which he served another two year stint until his release on March 31, 2006. Suffering those personal setbacks has strengthened his hunger for success and allowed him the time to sharpen his lyrical skills and craft. A proud father and family man now, he has much to live for. Influenced by westcoast and down south music has given the east coast representer a unique sound with a strong swagger. RUKKUZ is also a member of the Bi-coastal, Hip-hop/ Rap group "Da Traygang"...
