The Progressive Rock group Sulphur Generation was formed in 2002. This five-member band has been composing, recording and headlining live shows ever since.In January 2009 the band released its first official album entitled 'SULPHUR GENERATION'.In November 2008 the band was chosen by the world famous group 'WHITESNAKE' to be their opening act for their sell out show in Nicosia. Sulphur Generation have also shared a stage with bands such as PARADISE LOST, ANATHEMA and the established Swedish band KATATONIA.
Info on each of the band members:
Andreas Kapatais (Vocals) studied Music Performance at Nakas Conservatoire and Sound Engineering at ACME, both in Athens. There, he worked at famous rock clubs including Stavros tou Notou, Architektoniki and Architecture of Rock.
George Solonos (Guitars) took the Diploma in Jazz studies at the Nakas Conservatoire in Athens, Greece and the MA (Master of Arts) in Music Production Degree at Leeds College of Music in the UK with Distinction. Worked with well known artists around the world such as: Boy George, Quincy Jones, Vinnie Colaiuta, Chantz, John Themis, George Doering, Anthony Costa (Blue), Ghetto Flex (Carribean artist), Marina Solonos, Desi Slava (Bulgarian Diva), Thodoris Karellas, Foivos Delivorias, Loukianos Kelaidonis, Doros Dimosthenous, Antonis Mitzelos and Nikos Xidis. In 2007 he wrote the main soundtrack song for a high-budget Bollywood movie that goes by the name 'Boomerang'.
Constantinos Amerikanos (Guitars) studied Music Conducting and piano at the Czech Republic. Constantinos has performed in various live clubs in Prague and Athens. He recently took part in a successful theatrical play in London.
Constantinos Pavlides (Drums) started playing the guitar at a very young age and the drums when he was 15 years old. Besides the SULPHUR GENERATION project, he plays as a session drummer with many different bands exploring various music genres. He graduated from Nakas Conservatoire (Athens, Greece) in 2005 with the degree in modern music and drums. In 2005 he moved to the Netherlands and had private lessons followed by several workshops in Greece and Holland. Since 2006 he has been studying Jazz at the Royal Conservatoire of The Netherlands.
Antonia Tsolaki (Bass) studied Musicology in Sheffield UK and at The University of Athens Greece. Antonia worked with famous Greek names such as Eleni Vitali, Nikos Ksidis, Miltiades Paschalides, Vasilis Papakostantinou, Doros Dimosthenous and others.
