I set this page up to especially to showcase the songwriting of my #1 co-writer, Jodie Stoeckle. Jodie started writing poetry as just a young girl and tucked her poems away. In her early twenties she fell in love with country music and remembered that she had a gift with using her thoughts and a pen. From Fresno, CA Jodie started writing lyrics and started working with local musicians such as Donny Linger to get melodies paired up with her top-notch lyrics. In 1998 Jodie finally decided to start taking trips to Nashville to get a foot in the door with her work.
It wasn't until a few trips later in 2000 after meeting online with compatible profiles, that we got the chance to meet and share ideas and have since written at least 20 songs and have folders full of ideas and songs that we have started. There were times she would send me an entire page of lyrics that needed no tweaking and I would add a melody and it was finished, and other times she sent me nothing more than a title or little hook that was so strong that inspired me to finish it in no time at all. As an artist, thanks to all the help from Jodie not only I have a solid album, that could compete with today's country market, but we more than enough material to do a second one.
The songs we write are all songs that we both each can relate too in our own personal lives and I know there are thousands of other people out there who can also relate and hope that people will enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed writing them and as much as I still love to sing them.
