About Me
This page is in memory of two wonderful people:
Stephanie Nicole Pastrick and Aaron Michael Oakley.
They were best friends in life & it is only fitting that they went home to Heaven together.
Stephanie
Beloved daughter of James R. Pastrick of Corning and Mary Ann and Jeff Baltzer of Horseheads.
She was born on June 16th, 1985. Born and raised in Corning, Stephanie attended Corning Painted Post Schools, graduating from Corning-Painted Post West High School in 2003. Stephanie also attended Corning Community College and received her first Bachelors Degree from SUNY Cortland. She was attending Mansfield University, working towards her 2nd Bachelors Degree in Political Science.
She was employed at Best Buy only for a short while, however made an everlasting impact in the lives of her co-workers with her can-do/will-do attitude.
She was a communicate of St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Elmira & St. Mary's Orthodox Church in Corning.
Stephanie was a very understanding and generous person, ecspecially towards her family & friends. You could always count on Steph to come through with what she said.
Stephanie can best be described as a very upfront person - never shy about stating her opinion.
Her smile was infectious & loved by all.
She played Cinderella softball for many years under the coaching of her Dad and played in an adult softball league as well. She had just recently taken up umpiring for the Cinderella league, however she hated calling players out at the plate.
Stephanie's laugh was one that could be heard a mile away & you always knew it had to be something good for her to be laughing at.
You always felt safe around Stephanie, even when she was scared - she would never let you know.

Mother and Step Father - Mary Ann Dzupinka Pastrick Baltzer & Jeffrey Baltzer of Horseheads
Step Sister - Jenni Baltzer of Williamsport, PA, Jessica Blank of Corning
Step Brother - Toby Baltzer of Williamsport, PA, Matt Blank of Corning
Uncles: Dan (Diana) Pastrick, Tom Pastrick & John "Mike" (Rebecca) Pastrick.
Aunts: JoAnn (Jerry) Schucker & Sally Jane Frasier.
Cousins: George Dzupinka Jr., Suzanne & Chad, Kathy & Terri, John & Jeff, and several others.
God Mother - Elizabeth Castilano.
Best Friends - Cindy, Anne, Risa, Valerie, Tanya.
Aaron
Beloved son of Michael Oakley & Ingrid Oakley.
He was born on December 6th, 1981, and was also born and raised in Corning (Lindley).
Aaron attended Corning Painted Post schools and graduated from Corning Painted Post West High.
He was employed by Corning Appliance Corp. as an installer. I can only recall one day in which Aaron called off of work & it's only because Stephanie made him -he was sick with pneumonia.
Aaron played lacrosse throughout High School and even after enjoyed throwing the ball around once in awhile.
Aaron was known as the towns "fix it" man - you needed him, he was there.
He had an infectious smile as well that will never be forgotten.

Mother - Ingrid Oakley
Brother - Eric Oakley
Sister - Lancey (Joseph) Evans
Grandmother - Greta Wendelen
Neice - Taylor Evans
And several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins & Friends.
