About Me

So much to say in so little room. I got too much personality and moxy to be contained within these four lines.
Boxed in Warning: This itty, bitty box is a mere reflection and not to be substituted for the real dealio.
Here goes:
I am child of the twilight zone that probably came out the womb reading and analyzing everything within sensory reach. If we date I will probably annoy you to hell with my neurotic worrying but on the plus side I will shower you with kisses, attention and tokens of my affection. (And by the way, yes, I am looking for that special someone if you're interested-wink, wink!) :)
It's all uphill from the age of 25-TRUST ME.
In the last two years my life has finally come together and I no longer perk up when referred to as a "tortured soul" but won't deny that it's a huge part of my past. Attribute it on my Portuguese past, or my first-generation experience in Canada but kids from this background have more pressure on them to impress. My education means EVERYTHING to my pappy-well, to me too! I've rediscovered the joys of minha familia (ya that includes you too step-mummy) after a 6 year hiatus from them and have decided to put the past where it belongs by beginning the healing process. That began with finally kicking Jo to the curb and letting go of Alkatraz that I absolutely loved dearly and that taught me so much about the business world, designing, self-sufficiency and hard work. And it's continuing now with my undergrad at UofT where I'm putting my analytical mind to work in my queerish studies.
Main goal in life is to make people happy-yes, i am a people pleaser. Other top goals include: aiding the healing process of others through education, facilitation, counselling, volunterring and by whatever means necessary. Primarily in the queer community; cause yo- instead of EATING our own we should be NOURISHING our prodigious rainbow. One cause at time, one person at a time, one action at a time, one word at a time, one thought at a time. It's all a matter of energy flow that is focused in one area. . . it's quite simplistic.
Fresh start 2007:
As of New Year's I agreed to start facilitating the COBO group at the 519 Community Centre. COBO=Coming Out Being Out. And it has been a blast, not to mention challenge, to push myself into the arena of public speaking which previously terrified me and secretly still does. So far I have covered the topic of "Coming Out to Moving On From the Labels" and "Safer Sex Awareness" and in the coming weeks i am tackling the topics: "How To Find Datable Queers In and Out of the Village", "Trans Equality and The Fight Against Transphobia" and "The Portrayal of Queers in the Media". If any of you have any feedback, tips, ideas, concerns please pass them along. Thanks to Maria, Tina, Brent and Derek V. who have either co-hosted and/or shared ideas for COBO.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

HUMANS: Good people with a freakin purpose in life! People who are open and generally positive. I prefer to surround myself with people who can have a positive influence on me, likely to change my perceptions and want to evoke change in at least their own spheres. I'd like to meet YOU if you fit into that category.
ANIMALS: Any and all cats. I have recently found an attatchment to kitties and i'm hooked on kitty lovin.
Otherwise here are some of the top peeps that I would LOVE to pick their brians and/or chil-lax with: Drew Barrymore, Smurfs, Jane Austen, Alladin, Maya Angelo, Poke-er-roo, Iceberg Slim, Carebears, Carmen Electra, Anne of Green Gables, Zack Braff, Gem and the Holograms, Leslie Feinberg, GI JOE, Al Pacino, Rainbow Brite, Jackson 5(yes, all of them!), Strawberry Shortcake, Claire Daines, Transformers, Eden Robinson, Guaridian Angels, Edward Gorey, Astro Boy, Bob Dylan, Inspector Gadget and Penny, David Bowie and many more . . .

id vs superego

If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning. Enough said!
