Jamphetamines.com is a free online
indie music community for musicians and fans. It exists to give musicians another free promotional outlet, and for fans to discover new and exciting music. You can share/host your original music videos, MP3s and photos. There's even a spot where you can include your MySpace profile link.
From the late-80's into the mid-90's I was heavily involved in the Chicago music scene. The Internet was in it's infancy, at best. CDs were just starting to replace cassettes and records. Needless to say, the promotional outlets were very few. Underground magazines and plastering the city with flyers of upcoming shows was about the extent of mass promotion for an unsigned/indie band. We would even have to go from record store to record store and practically beg them to carry our latest release on consignment. As you already know, over the past few years, promotional opportunities have changed drastically.
When the technology was finally available, I wanted develop a website strictly for indie musicians, where they can post all their media in one place, and for fans to easily find the latest music in their preferred genre. It took me quite a while to get it up and running, but I finally was able to get Jamphetamines.com live. It's a great promotional opportunity and we hope you take advantage of it.
