THE DAY IN THE LIFE OF RACHEL ANNE MONTGOMERYI guess every fairy tale begins with "Once upon a time"; however, this story is not a fairy tale..far from it. My name is Rachel Anne Montgomery and this is my story.It all began on November 28, 1991. My brother's had just got back from up town running errands for our dad when they heard a gun shot from inside the house. I was asleep in my bed when I heard the blast. I jumped out of bed and ran to my door. I opened it and saw my parent's door open. I walked silently over to the door and peared inside. I saw a man holding a gun pointed at my parents.Before I had a chance to scream, I felt two strong arms pull me away from the door and out of the house. I saw my brothers run back into the house then heard several gun shots. I remember praying to let them be okay. I see my brother's rush out of the house and all of sudden our house explodes into flames. After that my brother's sent me to go live with our aunt in Toledo, Ohio. I started a whole new life there but missed my brother's deeply. I always wished that I could see them again... one last time. Then one day out of the blue on my 16th birthday, they show up.They told me that I was going with them and to pack my bags. I did as I was told and went along with them. I had missed them so much and for them to invite to come along... how could I have refused? We had our chance to be a family again, how was I gonna pass that up? For the next year I was on the road with my brothers driving cross country. Brian, my oldest brother, told me they had been searching for the thing that killed mom and dad for the past 11 or 12 years. They started telling about all this supernatural stuff and at first I didn't believe them but after a while I did. We finally settled in a place called Tree Hill, North Carolina for a while. I started high school at Tree Hill High. Brian and Jared bought us an apartment not far from the school. They wanted to me to finish up high school then it was back on the road.And that's where my story ends for now. I'm seventeen years old and a junior at Tree Hill High. I'm on the Raven's cheer squad and one of the most popular girls in school.
