About Me

A little information about myself.Every kid should have a plan for their own greatness in later life and at 15 I found myself sitting in our council house nursing my second broken leg in three months and my planned 'professional football career' in bits. So if I wasn't going to make fame and fortune as a footballer it would have to be my second great love which is music. I convinced by parents to buy me a bass guitar (no-one told them it needed to be amplified, so it was a quite start) and over the next three years practiced daily. At 18, I met Andy Blade and joined Eater, followed by a stint in the Vibrators (the punk equivalent of BBC's Casualty), Empire (with Marc Laff and Derwood from GenX) and then finally The Shots (with Phil Ram and Eddie Edwards). And then it was all over, at 23 years old!I subscribe to the David Brent school of philosophy, which is 'live fast, die old', so I became a 'sweetie salesman' selling Mars Bars for five years, until fate and a large amount of luck got me a job in Asia. That was in 1990 and I've been here ever since. I started with two years in Korea, then off to Taiwan for three years, Hong Kong for two years, Malaysia for three years and then seven years in HK again. Since July 2006 I've been living in Seoul, which is a musical desert if you like the punk/trash metal style of music that I do, but it's the arts capital of Asia with some pretty wierd and wonderful things to see and do.I'm married with two young girls who are being educated in UK and travel around 100-150,000 miles a year, so you could sort of say I'm busy. I still follow West Ham United and make it to all the 'important games'...
