Life, the universe, and everything.
Someone once described my CD collection as symptomatic of a multiple personality disorder. The first band I fell in love with was Led Zeppelin followed closely by T.Rex. Seeing The Gun Club live changed my perception of music forever and I am hoping to have that experience again! Waiting for the new Rock City Angels album "Use Once and Destroy" and keeping myself entertained listening to Apa State Mental, Babyshambles, BRMC, Ill of Day,Harem Scarem, Temujin, Patrick Doval, The Wrecking Dead Psychos, and the usual suspects. I could put a long list of movies but I think it's fair to say my taste in movies ranges from the sublime to the ridiculous. I am not usually found watching rom-coms though, and I have a bit of an aversion to so called blockbusters. A few faves would be Rumblefish; The Proposition; Big Fish; Tideland; Hero; Reservoir Dogs; Sin City; and What Ever Happened To Baby Jane. Here's a short film from Dignam Films
Mostly British comedy and just random things that take my fancy - waiting on the third season of The Mighty Boosh. Spooks is back on now as well but they are showing the previous series again. Why??? Hate all these so-called reality shows with a passion. There are many nights where I don't turn the television on at all. Wish Bishop & Douch were on television
My favourite book as a child was The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster and it has been said this explains a lot. My Dad had a cupboard full of science fiction so I have read loads of that (Ray Bradbury, John Wyndham etc) and I adore Dune by Frank Herbert. I've also read a lot of fantasy stuff and will still read Neil Gaiman and Clive Barker. These days I am more interested in ideas and information. Currently reading: Trick of the Mind by Derren Brown and Songs My Mother Taught Me by Marlon Brando with Robert Lindsey.
