These wild women travel from tavern to tavern - playin', singin', drinkin', and defending the world from bad music.

Mermaid Union is proud to step out into this rough and cold world with a highspeed/slow country-rhythm'n'blues music infused with a punk-rock attitude. You haven’t seen anything like this before (especially in Germany!) While blessed with affectionate hearts whose size could rival those of any gorillas, these ladies are also equipped with muzzles the size of elephant feet. Beware any man who ventures towards these girrrls…
After a multi-year quest to find a real dirty f***ed up guy to front their real rock ‘n’ roll band the Reverend and Dr. Horsetrainer gave up hope that their damned “punkrockcity†could produce and started on their own. They solidified this decision when their holy father J.R. Cash shone light on their path and encouraged them to express their uncontrolled emotions with the help of country music. They have never looked back!
Initially, they played small shows to test out their new musical direction to audiences around town. Their good reputation paved the way for appearances across Germany over the last years. Word spread of their ability to conquer any audience and they received invitations to the Summer Safari Festival (Leipzig), the Nugget Festival (Dortmund), and the White Trash (Berlin). They also played support for Hayseed Dixie, Velvetone, The Andrews Surfers (the side project of the famous Fifty Foot Combo), Texas Terry Bomb, Roland Heinrich, Varmints & Vagrants and several others. Mermaid Union’s persuasive charm – as musicians, performers, and ladies – continues to work its magic….
